Course Description

This capsule provides a foundational introduction to the Sanskrit language. Learners will grasp the alphabet, basic grammar, simple sentence construction, and essential vocabulary for engaging with Sanskrit texts and mantras.

Facilitator’s Spiritual Grounding

  • Chant a Sanskrit mantra before the session to create a sacred learning environment.
  • Dedicate the session to the traditional teachers of Sanskrit.
  • Maintain accuracy in pronunciation and grammar.

Learner Engagement Tips

  • Begin with a pronunciation exercise; end with a simple Sanskrit phrase.
  • Use visual aids for the alphabet and grammar concepts.
  • Incorporate group chanting and repetition.
  • Encourage students to create their own simple Sanskrit sentences.
